YouTube Launches Free Movies Section
YouTube is up with a new and very interesting category, the FREE Movies category, where you can now find and watch full length movies for free from your own PC or mobile device.
YouTube users will now able to watch around 400 movies for free on the site. Titles on YouTube.com/movies will include a range of featured films, available genres include classic, horror, drama, documentary, and Bollywood films. The free movies section however doesn’t include current releases.
YouTube has also announced a new partnership with UK’s movie and television streamer Blinkbox – www.blinkbox.com – the site will be making 165 films available, for which it will receive revenue from advertising around the films.
YouTube launched its movies section in the US earlier this year, offering a choice of free and paid-for films. The UK version currently offers all of its films for free accompanied by ads for blinkbox. The YouTube UK site may expand to include paid films in the future.
