Instructions:
1. Visit this promo page of Norton Internet Security 2009 Six Months License. (The promo is for NIS 2009 but the product key will also work with NIS 2010 tested by me. The page is in german so use a translator or follow the screenshots attached below.)
2. Enter your email address (use a gmail address). Select any country and check the two boxes below. Now click on the yellow icon.
3. Now go to your email and click on the activation link sent to you.
4. You will shortly receive another mail with the product key.
5. Now download and install Norton Internet Security 2010 from here.
6. Start Norton Internet Security 2010 and click on the subscribe button.
7. Now enter your product key and then enter your email, first name, last name and password to setup your norton account. You can now use norton internet security 2010 free for six months

That’s an awful lot of work to get a piece of software that can normally be purchased from Staples for $69 then get a $20 instant rebate with a $40 manufacturer rebate. Final price, 9 bucks. And that’s for a 3 user license.

it did not work, i download the norton antivirus 3 times and never could find it on my computer nor did it open for me to enter any code. Maybe because I am using Vista not sure but It is not working. Darn it.

You need to renew your subscription after the six months period is over.
The above promotion is still working but only in Germany. Try to find a working german proxy and open the promo url using the proxy.
