Norton Antivirus 2013 is the latest entry-level product developed by Symantec for home users. The new suite is completely compatible with Microsoft’s new Windows 8 operating system. The interface has been re-designed to suite Windows 8 users. The installation process has been improved – it takes less than a minute to install and does not require a system restart. A new interesting feature known as “Facebook scan” has been added, which automatically scans your wall to protect you from phishing links. Like the previous editions, the scanning process is fast and uses minimal system resources.

Most of our readers are already familiar with the trick to get free six months subscription of Norton Antivirus. Since Norton updated its security line to the 2013, I decided to publish it again with new screenshots. Follow the directions below to receive your free subscription:

• Download Norton Antivirus 2012 Six Months (Online Installer)
• Install Norton Antivirus 2012 using the online installer
• Once the installation process is complete, an activation wizard will pop up.
• Enter your email address and click “Next”. (Please note that you have to use a new email address that has not been previously registered with Symantec/Norton).
• Enter the details required to create your account and hit “Next”.
• Select “Finished” to complete the activation/registration process. 
• Remove Norton Antivirus 2012 using the Norton removal tool: Norton_Removal_Tool.exe [846 KB]
• Login to your Norton Account
• Click on the arrow to reveal the product details.
• Copy the product key. You have to use this key to activate the 2013 edition.
• Download Norton Antivirus 2013
• Install Norton Antivirus 2013
• You will be asked to complete the activation process. Enter the same e-mail address that you used during the registration of the 2012 edition and click “Next”.
• Sign-in to your account.
• Trial activation process is now complete. Close the activation window.
• Return to Norton Antivirus main screen.  Click “Renew”.
• Click on the “I have a key or code to enter” link.
• Paste the product key that you previously copied from your Norton Account and click “Next”
• Activation is now complete. Enjoy free six months subscription of Norton Antivirus 2013.
