Taking screenshot is easy, thanks to the PrtScn button on the keyboard that will allow you to capture anything on your screen. The screenshot is temporarily stored in the windows clipboard and you have to use a program that can process images to save your screenshots. This makes saving screenshots frequently a very hard process, since we all know that windows clipboard can hold only one item at a time, and saving a screenshot before you can take another one slows you down.
Ashampoo Snap 8 is a powerful screen capture program that supports 4k resolutions, multi monitor environment, and allows you to capture any part of the screen with pixel perfect accuracy. The program uses a floating toolbar that only shows up when you hover the mouse on the top right corner of your screen. The toolbar displays the capture modes available, the primary ones being, scrolling window (freestyle/website), single window, fixed region and video. Hotkeys can be assigned for each capture mode, by default, the primary screen capture key (PrtScn) performs a full screen capture.
The captured screenshots are automatically transferred to the Snap editor, where you can further improve your capture by adding text, shapes, symbols, borders and effects, highlighting areas, blurring out sensitive areas, and protecting your work with copyright information or watermarks. Captures can be uploaded to the cloud (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive), Ashampoo Web Space and Facebook directly from the editor.
Some of the most understated, but valuable features of Snap are its ability to record live on-screen action, webcam footage, and extract only text from images using its OCR technology that supports six languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Turkish, Russian)
