There are a lot of backup programs out there that can back up your data. Backup is a critical task, you must always remember to back up your data at regular interval, or it can lead to disaster. Backup4all is a very easy to use tool designed to back up your data automatically without any kind of user interaction. The program offers four different modes of backup full, incremental, differential and mirror backup. It can save backups on your hard disk, local network, FTP/SFTP, USB drives and other removable devices like CD/DVD/Blu-ray.
The program has been recently updated to version 5. The new version offers 1-click installation and the backup process is now guided through an enhanced wizard. The main interface lists the backup jobs in three different categories, all jobs, failed jobs, and running jobs. You can create a new job by clicking on the “New backup” button.
Here you will be presented with a wizard. In the first step, you have to select the location of the backup. You can select whether you want the backup to be saved on the local drive or network. If you select network, the program will ask you to enter the network credentials. You can then test the connection prior to proceeding to the next step.
The next steps will allow you to select files and folders you want to backup, add compression and password protection, and set the backup schedule.
