BenVista PhotoZoom is designed to resize or enlarge photos. Almost all image processing applications is capable of resizing photos, so what makes PhotoZoom special? BenVista, the developer of PhotoZoom uses a patented and award-winning S-Spline technology to enlarge photos, which excels in preserving clean edges, sharpness, and fine details of the original file.
Apart from the patented S-Spline method, PhotoZoom offers other methods to resize your photo, which include Bilinear, Hermite, Bell, Mitchell, Catmull-Rom, B-Spline, Bicubic, and Lanczos.
The problem with enlarging photos is that noise and compression artifacts become visible during the process. PhotoZoom offers an unsharp masking tool to deal with those issues. The tool also includes several presets that can be used by inexperienced users to preserve the quality of the photo.
PhotoZoom can be used as a standalone application or as a plugin for Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Corel Photo-Paint, and Corel PaintShop Pro. Unfortunately, the version that is being offered lacks plugin support.
PhotoZoom has just reached one hundred thousand users. To celebrate this milestone, BenVista is currently giving away full version license keys of the classic edition of PhotoZoom.
