I replaced my c drive, which died due to static while placing a flash drive in a usb port. That drive is mostly programs, although it had some data on it. (Perhaps I can recover that data too.)

While installing windows xp it a terabyte, microsoft xp install only recognized 130000 byte and doesn’t show the additional memory. I confused my back up drive for this space. I then partitioned my backup drive, thinking it was the remaining space on the new drive. Now it says it’s raw and needs to be formatted.

Please advise on how to recover my files.
