EA Celebrates 10 Years of Battlefield with free download of Battlefield 1942

To celebrate a decade of Battlefield and two million plus premium members of Battlefield 3, EA has decided to give away free copies of the game that started it all, Battlefield 1942. The full game can be downloaded via the origin client. (See at www.origin.com/demos).

Battlefield 1942 is a 3D World War II first-person shooter (FPS) video game developed by Swedish company Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows (2002) and Apple Macintosh (2004). The game can be played in singleplayer mode against the video game AI or in multiplayer mode against players on the Internet or in a Local Area Network. To download the full version game:

  • Download the Origin Client
  • Install and login to your origin account.
  • Navigate to Store -> Demos
  • You will find the Battlefield 1942 banner. Click on the “Get It Now” button to start your download.
